COLUMBUS
Anthony J. Pottorff, 49, of Columbus, passed from this life at 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Pottorff was born October 9, 1971, in Indianapolis, the son of Ronnie and Lenore Brochin Pottorff.
He married Margaret J. Eder September 4, 1993.
Mr. Pottorff was a teacher at Columbus East High School where he was involved in numerous school activities. He served as a cross country and track coach within the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation.
A man of faith, Mr. Pottorff was an active member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Amanda F. Pottorff and Delaney K. Pottorff both of Columbus; father, Ronnie Pottorff of Greenwood; mother, Lenore Brochin Smith of Greenwood; biological mother, Karen Lyons of Fishers; and his siblings, Angie, Jenny and Michael.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Kathryn Eder.
Family and friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Following calling hours, a private funeral will be held at the funeral home with Steve Yeaton officiating.
Due to pandemic restrictions, we are limited to 50 people in our funeral home. We do ask that visitors follow the social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required.
Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at the Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mr. Pottorff’s daughters college fund.
