COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Ashley Dawn Cox, 24, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life Sunday, December 20, 2020 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Ashley was born July 17, 1996, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Cecil “Skip” Cox and Kimberly D. Snider Cox.
Ashley graduated from Columbus North High School. She formerly worked at Applied Laboratories and currently was working at Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing. She studied cosmetology and loved kayaking. She cherished her special companions, her dog, Teddy and her cat, Milo.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her mother and stepfather, Kimberly Cox and Joe Baker of Edinburgh; her father, Cecil “Skip” Cox and his companion, Katrina Dennis of Columbus; sister, Kelly Cox of Edinburgh; brother, Joseph Baker of Edinburgh; grandmother, Rosemary Snider of Columbus; aunts and uncles, Jennifer Snider and her companion, Travis Calhoun, Lynn Budka, Betsy and Joey Hepburn and Angela and Eric Foist; and cousins, Taylor, Angel, Lisa, Erica, Megan, Lexie and Thomas.
Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cecil and Nancy Cox and Clarence Snider and her aunt and uncle, Sheila and Charles Fields.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Brian Scott officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Due to pandemic restrictions, we are limited to 50 people in the funeral home, we ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines and masks are required.
Cremation will take place following the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
