Miller had a grand slam and four RBIs in a 9-0 win at South Decatur, a grand slam and five RBIs in an 18-1 home win against South Decatur, threw a three-hitter in a 7-3 win at Charlestown and went 2 for 3 in a 6-0 loss to South Dearborn.

His performance last week: “I feel pretty good about it. With those grand slams, I made a switch with bats. Hauser alumni Trey Johnson recommended me use a different bat than I’d been using because I hadn’t been hitting so well.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “I get home from C4 and eat some cosmic brownies before the game.”

Favorite drink: “Dr. Pepper Cream Soda.”

Favorite food: “Chicken Alfredo”

Favorite class: “Automotive Technology at C4”

Favorite sports team: “Cincnnati Reds”

Favorite athlete: “Mike Trout”

Role model: “My dad (Levi Miller)”

Best advice: “From (assistant) coach (Mike) Flack, ‘Stop thinking, and just hit.’”

Athletics goal: “I’d like to find somewhere to play baseball in college.”

If you could travel anywhere: “Probably Montana. I’d like to see the mountains and everything, and it’s really relaxing up there.”

Wilson beat No. 2 singles players from Bloomington South, second-ranked Carmel, No. 10 Jasper and No. 15 Fort Wayne Carroll by 6-0, 6-0 scores and the No. 2 singles player from No. 9 Homestead 6-0, 6-1.

Her performance last week: “I think it was a good week for me. I’ve been in a slump, so coming out and winning those matches, it felt good to be back.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “Normally on the bus, I try to gather myself and just get ready for the match.”
