Roger Douglass Hawkins, 55, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on September 27, 2021.
Roger was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, November 29, 1965.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Hawkins Sr. He is survived by his mother, Sandra Hawkins and his brother, Eldon Hawkins Jr.
Roger was very interested in technology and computers. He received an associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College and a bachelor’s degree from IUPUI. He was recently employed at Lowes.
Roger loved to play the drums and at one time, played them at Southport Presbyterian Church.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2021, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Virgil Clotfelter will officiate. A live stream of the funeral service may be viewed at barkesweaverglick.com.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Cremation is planned following the funeral service.
