COLUMBUS
Mark L. Fields, 60, of Columbus, passed from this life at 4:18 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Fields was born November 29, 1960, in Columbus, the son of Bizel D. and Betty P. England Fields.
Mark retired from the sheet metal industry and was a craftsman in sheet metal and wood working.
Survivors include his mother, Betty P. Whittington of Columbus; son, Jeremy R. (Amanda) Fields of Columbus; daughter, Jennifer Fields of Columbus; brother, Richard (Joanna Shepherd) Fields of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Cathy (Fred) Leamnson of Reston, VA and Patricia Fields of Greenwood; grandchildren, Timothy, Kaeden, Keegan, Isaac, Amaya, Maicie, Klaytin, Gracelynn, Kingston and Zayne.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-father who raised him, Carl Whittington.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Adam Carrigan officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Inurnment will follow the service at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contribution may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
