COLUMBUS
Carlos L. “Carl” Frodge, 92, passed away at his residence.
Carl was born in Edmonton, KY September 28, 1929, the son of John W. and Zona P. Harris Frodge. He married Lee Ann Flowers Whittington August 27, 1971 in Columbus, she preceded him in death March 24, 2014.
Carl retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1983 after 30 years working in Human Resource Development. He was a member of the Columbus Moose Lodge and served as Past State President of the Moose Lodge. He was a charter member of the Seymour Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the American Legion. V.F.W. and F.O.P. as well as the Knights of Pythias and was a Kentucky Colonel. He served in the U.SA. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by children, Debrah Kay (Rev. Scott) Hyden of Harlan, KY, Sandra Faye (John) Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK, Carla Gay Haines of Anderson, Sheila Rae (Doug) Chapple of Anderson, Lora Jaye (Jim) Frodge of Columbus; step-children, James Edward (Eva) Bollock of Burkesville, KY, Patricia Scroghan of Columbus, Kay Padget of Columbus, Vickie (Kenneth) Scroghan of Columbus and Jeffery Allen (Merna) Whittington of Columbus; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; brother, Harrel DeLaine (Alice) Frodge of Westport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Teena Mae Vazquez; ,step-daughter Janet Sue Pecorino; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Morris Frodge; sister, Doris Smock.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Rev. Scott Hyden officiating. Visitation Friday 4~8 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. to service Saturday. A Moose Lodge Memorial Service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday evening. Burial will be in Westport Cemetery with military rites by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
