Norman Leslie Bradshaw

Norman Leslie Bradshaw, 83, of Westport, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Norman was born on April 17, 1938, in Gradyville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Leslie and Evelyn (Wilson) Bradshaw. He married Helen Joan Curts on June 21, 1957, in Corydon; she survives.

Norman was a machine operator for 22 years with Cummins Engine Company in Columbus before retiring in 1988 and a school bus driver for Decatur County Schools. He was a former member of the North Vernon Church of the Nazarene and a current member of Westport Wesleyan Church in Westport. Norman enjoyed traveling, singing, gardening, hobby farming with his mules.

Surviving with his wife, Joan, are his children, Carol (Bill) Evilsizer of Madison, Jeff Bradshaw of Clovis, California and Wesley (Darlene) Bradshaw of North Vernon; brother, Steve Bradshaw of San Angelo, Texas; sister, Glenda Ruth Brown of Columbus; grandchildren, Justin (Nicole) Bradshaw and Leslie Bradshaw, both of North Vernon, Matt Bradshaw of Clovis, California, Jason (Becca) Corya of Noblesville, Jennifer Corya of Vevay and Jessica (Brian) Ripberger of Rushville; great-grandchildren, Gary and Catherine Bradshaw, both of North Vernon, Luke and Jenna Corya, both of Noblesville; and Joel and Tucker Ripberger, both of Rushville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Phillip Bradshaw.

A funeral service for Norman will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the North Vernon First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Phil Edwards officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp &Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Norman through the funeral home to Samaritan’s Purse Ministry, The Gideons International, Gleaners Food Bank.
