INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North put together its best perfomance of the season Friday night to claim the Franklin Central Regional title.

The 10th-ranked Bull Dogs finished with a 110.2 team score. No. 5 Bloomington North finished second with a 107.225, and No. 7 Richmond claimed the third-and-final team-qualifying spot with a 106.7.

Emily Moore finished second in the all-around by five-hundreths of a point. Franklin Central’s Austyn Dykes won with a 38.5 to Moore’s 38.45.

Moore won the beam with a 9.775 and floor with a 9.725 and finished second on the bars (9.6) and tied for third on the vault (9.35).

The Bull Dogs’ Reese Euler finished fourth in the all-around with a 37.05. She finished second on the vault (9.4), fourth on the bars (9.125) and fifth on the floor (9.575).

“We started on bars and started strong,” North co-coach Bob Arthur said. “We put up three strong scores on bars. Beam, we had two out of the four stay on, so that made a big difference. We posted some decent scores. It was a really strong night for us as a team. We were able to pull those third scores up. The coaches are very proud of the girls and how they pulled together at this meet.”

The Bull Dogs will compete in the state finals Saturday at Ball State.
