The Jennings County eighth-grade volleyball team claimed its first two wins of the season, beating St. Peter’s 25-4, 25-11 on Tuesday and Greensburg 25-13, 25-14 on Thursday.

Aylah Belding served 14 points, including 11 aces for the Panthers against St. Peter’s. Paige Hack served 10 points, and Lilly Franks served five aces.

Hack served 13 points, including six aces to lead Jennings (2-1) against Greensburg.

The Panther seventh-graders beat Greensburg 25-22, 25-10. Aniston Kent pounded seven kills, Kenna Sentz added six kills and Kassidy Warren served five aces.

Panthers blank Jets

Jennings County posted an 11-0 win against Hauser on Thursday.

Jacob Ferguson and Giovani Lazcano each scored two goals for the Panthers. Alex Cook, Bryson Scroggin, Stone Mull, Braylen Foist, Carter Mikels, Pryce Shepherd and AJ Skelton all added one goal.

Tony Telez posted seven saves for the Jets.

Jennings had opened its season with a 5-2 win against South Ripley on Monday. Cook netted two goals, and Brody Ertel, Kaleb McIntosh and Isaiah Thompson all scored one goal.

Greendale tops Panthers

Jennings County fell to Greendale 32-6 on Tuesday.

Lane Owens scored the touchdown for the Panthers (0-2) on a 60-yard run.
