A new candidate has filed for District 1 of the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. school board.
Jason A. Major, 47, turned in his paperwork late Friday afternoon. He listed his employer for the previous year as Cummins, Inc.
Major is the third candidate to turn in his paperwork for the District 1 seat; Anakarina Hurtado and David Vincent have also filed to run. Board President Jill Shedd, who currently holds the seat, has not filed.
The deadline to turn in all necessary paperwork as a school board candidate is noon on Friday, Aug. 26.
