North edges Panthers
BLOOMINGTON — Sixth-ranked Columbus North rallied from a quick 2-0 deficit Wednesday to post a 3-2 Conference Indiana win at No. 17 Bloomington South.
Hank Lin beat Mike Asplund 7-5, 7-5 (4) at No. 1 singles for the Bull Dogs (14-2, 3-0). Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram topped Evan Kantor and Luke Jovanovic 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Parth Shah and Parth Gupta provided the deciding point with a 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 win against Josh Song and David Ciuch 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Anvay Atram
North’s Austin Clark fell to Chris Lian 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Steven Sun lost to Alex Busch 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
The Bull Dogs will host No. 16 Bloomington North for the conference title on Sept. 22.
East falls to Pirates
GREENSBURG — Columbus East notched a victory at No.2 singles, but Greensburg took the other four matches in a 4-1 decision.
Matthew Degner beat Dan Fisse 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 singles for the Olympians (5-9).
East’s Erik Takahashi fell to Bryce Stronger 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Brady Redelman lost to Jeter Edwards 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Ethan Bumbalough and Jacob Dettmer fell to Abe Tebbe and Jack McKinsey 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Tyler Ernst and Henry Ulrich lost to Justin Adkins and Reece Beaver 3-6, 6-2, (10-4) at No. 2 doubles.

Panthers sweep Trojans
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County had little trouble in rolling to a 25-6, 25-19, 25-9 win against East Central.
Addison Martin led the Panthers (12-6) with five blocks and three aces. Charlee Barlow pounded 12 kills, and Avynn Belding notched 23 digs.
GIRLS GOLF
Lancers take second
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh finished second and Brown County third in a tri match at Timbergate. Greenwood won with a 190 to 204 for the Lancers and 211 for the Eagles.
Izzy Richardson led Edinburgh with a 46. Jillian Turner carded a 47, Macie Blandford added a 52, Hannah Pile and Gracie Myers each shot 59 and Cloee Britton had a 66.
Lilly VanNess led Brown County with a 44. Hannah deWeerdt carded a 47, Ava Stogsdill added a 58, Savannah Poling shot 62 and Chloe Poling had a 63.
