A local man with a felony warrant for his arrest was taken into custody by Columbus police officers on Friday afternoon.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., CPD officers responded to a residence in the 4600 block of West Ridge Drive in regards to a warrant service on Justin A. Bowles, 40, of Columbus, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
When officers arrived at the residence, they located Bowles where he was taken into custody without incident. While searching Bowles’ clothing prior to transporting him to jail, the officers reportedly located a bag containing several pills, Harris said. Bowles was remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges:
–Bartholomew County Warrant: Probation Violation Dealing in a Narcotic Drug
–Possession of a Legend Drug
–Possession of a Controlled Substance
The Intelligence Led Policing Unit and Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team assisted with the investigation.
