Allman convicted on three felonies, including rape, after Bartholomew Circuit Court trial

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A Bartholomew Circuit Court jury found a former Edinburgh man guilty of three felonies, including rape.

The verdict from a jury of six men and six women for Teddy Albert Allman, 51, was after a little less than two hours of deliberations on Monday. The defendant was convicted of a Level 1 felony count of rape, a charge that the victim is compelled by force or imminent threat of force.

In addition, Allman was convicted of criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon as a Level 3 felony, and intimidation with a deadly weapon as a Level 5 felony.  Allman could receive up to 62 years in prison, as well as fines totaling $30,000. His sentencing was set for Dec. 21 at 8:30 a.m.
