Dewey led the Lancers with 19 points and 10 rebounds in Friday’s 58-34 win at Oldenburg Academy and with 30 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday’s 66-44 win against Waldron.

His performance last week: “It always feels good scoring a bunch of points, but I’m just glad we were able to get our first road win and then come and beat a conference team at home. Luckily, I was able to shoot the ball pretty well that second game, so that helped us out a lot.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “Eat, and then before the game, I’ll pray and then stretch and warm up.”

Favorite drink: “Sprite”

Favorite food: “Streak”

Favorite class: “English”

Favorite sports team: “Maryland”

Favorite athlete: “(Houston Rockets’) Jalen Green”

Role model: “My older brother (Jacob Dewey)”

Best advice: “Never quit. Always stay focused on your goals and dreams and just block all the bad out. That will get you a lot farther than most other things.”

Athletics goal: “Play college basketball.”

If you could travel anywhere: “Australia, just because I love wildlife, and that’s one of the best places to see wildlife.”

Sarah Lorimor

Lorimor led the Crusaders with 16 points in a 73-22 loss at Hauser, 21 points in Friday’s 48-40 win against Traders Point Christian and 28 points in Saturday’s 37-28 win at Kings Academy, eclipsing the 1,000-point mark for her career.

Her performance last week: “As a team, we played pretty well, and it’s allowed me to play well, too.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “I just focus on the game and think about what to improve on from past games and what to work on in that game.”

Favorite food: “French toast”

Favorite class: “History”

Favorite sports team: “Stanford volleyball”

Best advice: “Always work hard and don’t take things for granted.”
