COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police officers arrested two people Monday evening after a man was reportedly shot in the face with a pellet gun.
At about 6:30 p.m., CPD officers responded to the 2100 block of Union Street in regards to a disturbance outside of a residence. When officers arrived, they located a man who advised he was assaulted by another person who shot him in the face with a pellet gun and attempted to strike him with a metal pole, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
The officers determined that the suspect, later identified as Todd A. Carr, 58, of Columbus went inside a nearby residence. The officers attempted to make contact with Carr for several minutes before he and Lisa G. Davis, 48, of Columbus exited the residence, Harris said.
Carr and Davis both had active out of county warrants for their arrest and were taken into custody, Harris said.
Carr was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained in the altercation. Both he and Davis were later remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

Lisa G. Davis: Jackson County Warrant
