PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Tyler Duncan was 3-under-par through 11 holes Friday and had moved up to a tie for 20th place when the second round of The Players Championship was suspended because of rain.
The Columbus North graduate started on the back nine Friday and shot 1-under 35 on that side before back-to-back birdies on Nos. 10 and 11 at TPC Sawgrass. He had opened with a 1-over 73 on Thursday and is 2-under for the tournament, six shots behind co-leaders Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Adam Svensson, neither of which have finished their second rounds.
The projected cut line is at plus-one.
