IUPUC falls just short in first game of DH

WILLMORE, Ky. — IUPUC came close to picking up its second win of the baseball season Thursday, but Asbury held on for a 13-12 victory in the first game of a doubleheader.

Columbus East graduate Alex McComb went 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs, Hauser graduate Trey Johnson went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs and Hauser graduate Jackson Paradise went 2 for 4 to lead the Crimson Pride, who matched Asbury with 10 hits. Blake Nigg, the second of three IUPUC pitchers, took the loss.

Asbury won the second game 22-5. Max Wyninger went 2 for 4 with a home run, and McComb also homered for the Crimson Pride (1-28). Jared Ross, the first of six IUPUC pitchers, took the loss.
