Duncan in 69th after third-round 77

SAN ANTONIO — Tyler Duncan carded a 5-over-par 77 in Saturday’s third round and slid to 69th place in the Valero Texas Open.

The Columbus North graduate had four holes to finish in a suspended second round, and Duncan closed that round with a 70 to make the cut by one shot. He had opened with a 73 on Thursday at TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course and sits at 4-over 220 through 54 holes.

Avon native Patrick Rodgers leads the tournament at 12-under 204, one shot ahead of Corey Conners, who is at 11-under 205. Matt Kuchar is three shots back at 9-under 207.
