Milo Smith gamed tax system, shouldn’t win mayor votes

From: Ronald Wilkinson

Candidate for Columbus mayor Milo Smith used his knowledge of the property tax system to “game” the system for his own benefit — paying only a fraction of what he should’ve rightfully paid, even as the rest of us property owners pay our full share.

Taxes are the lifeblood of the economy. When some of us fail to pay our full share, or succeed in paying less than we should by means of lies and manipulation, the rest of us have to make up the difference.

Is this the kind of person the people of Columbus want to be mayor of their proud city? I would hope not.
