Larry J. Percifield

BROWN COUNTY, INDIANA

Larry J. Percifield, 75, of Brown County passed from this life on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at his home.

Larry was born on October 26, 1947, in Bloomington, the son of Grover and Ruth Stevens Percifield. On November 26, 1968, he married his high school sweetheart Connie Wall.

After 31 years of service, he retired in 1999 from Cummins Engine Company where he was an Inspector, he then went on to own and operate with his wife various shops in Nashville.

He had a tremendous love for vacationing on the beach, collecting antique cabinets, listening to music- especially John Prine, watching Civil War and history documentaries, traveling- especially on his motorcycle which he had ridden through almost all 50 states. Larry had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh and was a good storyteller.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Connie Percifield of Brown County; daughters, Lee Ann Johnson and Amy (Mark) Pace both of Brown County; six grandchildren; a sister, Diane (Arvin) Favors; and his four-legged fur buddy, Mr. Gus.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with Mr. Percifield’s wishes cremation will take place and the family will have a private celebration of life service at a later date.

Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.

In memory of Mr. Percifield memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to the Brown County Humane Society or a Humane Society of the donor’s choice.
