Sixth District art winners named

Rep. Greg Pence, R-Indiana, has announced the winner, runner-up and second runner-up for Indiana’s 6th District annual Congressional Art Competition.

Each spring, a national high school arts competition is sponsored by the Congressional Institute to recognize and encourage the artistic talent throughout the United States. Local artist Rick Wilson served as the judge for the artwork submitted by students in the Indiana Sixth Congressional District.

The winner of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for Indiana’s 6th District is Ajay Singireddy of Columbus North High School, whose artwork will hang in the U.S. Capitol building for one year.

The runner-up of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for Indiana’s 6th District is Ziqi Zhou of Greenwood Christian Academy, whose artwork will hang in Pence’s Washington D.C. office for one year.

The 2nd runner-up of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition for Indiana’s 6th District is Madelyn Henry of Oldenburg Academy, whose artwork will hang in Pence’s District office for one year.
