Athletics goal: “My goal this year was to break the (school) record, which I’m still like a second off..”
If you could travel anywhere: “I always wanted to go to Japan. I feel like their culture is very different. Everything they do there is a lot different, and I’d like to experience that culture.”

Carys Glyn-Jones
Glyn-Jones finished second in the 800 meters and ran on the winning 4×800 relay team in the Franklin Regional.
Her performance last week: “I’m pretty happy all-in-all. I think that there’s definitely room for improvement, but in general, I’m just very happy with it.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I just try to really get in the head space of it and try to picture my race, and I try to not get too nervous, but also get to a point where I have some energy to get me going.”
Favorite drink: “I just enjoy water.”
Favorite food: “I do really love pizza.”
Favorite class: “I do enjoy math a lot.”
Favorite sports team: “Springboks (the national rugby team of her native South Africa).”
