The following closings have been announced for Monday for the federal observance of Juneteenth.
- Columbus city offices will be closed on Monday.
- The Columbus Department of Public Works offices will be closed Monday, but all trash and recycling collections are on schedule with no delays. Offices open at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Visit columbus.in.gov/publicworks for more information.
- The Columbus City Utilities office will be closed Monday, but will reopen Tuesday at 7 a.m. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service should call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- All Bartholomew County offices and the courthouse are closed Monday.
- The Republic is observing regular business operating hours on Monday and will be publishing a paper that day. For circulation issues, call 379-5601 before 10 a.m.
