Rachel Marie Timbrook

Ms. Timbrook worked as a bus driver for the city of Columbus for 36 years before her retirement. She loved to laugh and was known as a “prankster”. Rachel will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. Bird watching, baking and gardening were some of the things Rachel enjoyed doing in her spare time. However, playing cards was her favorite, especially 500 and Rook. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Kent (Peggy) Timbrook of Laurinburg, North Carolina, Diane Timbrook of Franklin, Kevin (Debbie) Timbrook of Columbus; grandchildren, Will Timbrook, Annie Timbrook, Brandon Timbrook, Ciarra Lehman; brothers, Henry (Onie) Champion of Florida, William (Donna) Champion of Pekin, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kirk Timbrook and brother, George Champion.

The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
