CARMEL — Class 3A No. 1 Carmel scored twice in the first half and went on to post a 3-1 boys soccer win against 3A No. 7 Columbus North on Friday.
Aidan Whitley scored in the 46th minute for the Bull Dogs (5-2-2). The Greyhounds scored an insurance goal in the 75th minute.
Carmel outshot North 15-3, putting seven shots on goal to five for the Bull Dogs. Juan Jose Salcedo Calderon recorded four saves for North.
