No. 2 Bull Dogs blank Southport

Second-ranked Columbus North did not lose a game in any of the five matches Wednesday in rolling to a 5-0 Conference Indiana boys tennis win against Southport.

Parth Shah beat Abbott Brandon at No. 1 singles, Austin Clark topped Dailey Liam at No. 2 singles and Preetham Terragudi blanked Munoz Benjamin at No. 3 singles, all by 6-0, 6-0 scores for the Bull Dogs (13-1, 4-0).

North’s Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram downed George Dalton and Thang Mang at No. 1 doubles, and Michael Crossman and Yoki Murabayashi defeated Charles Campbell and Michael Takacs at No. 2 doubles, also by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

The Bull Dogs’ win sets up a showdown for the conference title today at home against Bloomington North.
