A group of Columbus teens painted the underside of a bridge along the People Trail not far from Mill Race Center with a colorful logo proclaiming their decision, and urging their peers, to have fun without drugs and alcohol, part of the National Above the Influence Movement.

Arvin Industries reported record sales for the third quarter with earnings more than 23 percent higher than the previous year but Cummins Engine Co. reported a loss of $85 million for the third quarter after taking $149 million in one-time charges for costs associated with restructuring and warranty losses.
