EDINBURGH — Edinburgh swept a baseball doubleheader from Crothersville on Saturday, winning 14-2 in five innings and 16-7.
Jared Myers threw a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts in the opener. Avynn Whitaker went 3 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs, Milas Burkman went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and Gabe Bennett went 2 for 4.
In the second game, Brayden Schottmer went 3 for 3, Whitaker went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, Austin Brockman went 3 for 5 with a double, Myers went 2 for 3 with a double, Silas Cooney went 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs and Swallows had two RBIs for the Lancers (5-4-1). Burkman and Brockman combined on a six-hitter.
