Jordy McTaggart’s Grill & Pub had its grand opening at The Commons, drawing in curious Columbus residents and visitors. The pub had 24 beers on tap and a lunch and dinner menu.
1999
Barb Richardson of Columbus loaded her van and trailer with more than 1,000 stuffed animals and drove to Oklahoma City, where she distributed toys to children whose homes were affected by tornadoes. Remaining stuffed animals were given to homeless shelters in Oklahoma City.
1974
The Hauser High School Class of 1974, represented by valedictorian Mary Ann Meyer and salutatorian Cynthia Hull, heard the commencement address of Robert Konkle, former state police superintendent and Hope resident. The Rev. Norwood Green gave the invocation, followed by remarks from Hull on what graduation meant to her.
