Life can be the pits Saturday — and that’s a good thing.
Summertime festival-goers can get up in the grill of some of the state’s more sizzling pitmasters at Saturday’s German American Bank BBQ Blues & Brew event along Washington and Fourth streets in downtown Columbus. The free annual gathering presented by the local entity Fun On Fourth generally attracts an estimated 7,000-plus people throughout the day, according to organizer estimates.
The sixth yearly get-together highlights the specialty foods of folks such as Scottsburg’s Kenny Smallwood of Bob and Kev’s BBQ.
