Ava Bunker
PINEHURST, N.C. — Ava Bunker carded a 10-over-par 82 in Monday’s opening round and is tied for 71st in the Junior North & South Amateur at Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Bunker, an Edinburgh resident who will be a freshman at Columbus North, shot 41 on both nines on Pinehurst No. 2. The girls will play Pinehurst No. 6 the next two days.
Ting-Hsuan Huang of Beaumont, California, leads the tournament at 5-under 67. Yeji Kwan of Canada is one shot back at 4-under 68.
