Norman Rafferty

Norman Vernon Rafferty, 64, of Brownsburg, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016.

Norman was born in Columbus, Indiana, September 10, 1951, the son of William F. and Geraldine (Cline) Rafferty. He graduated from Columbus High School, served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and during his career worked as a software engineer with MCI/Quest.

In his spare time, Norman enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, tennis, racquetball and traveling. He was hard-working, loving and generous with his time. He adored his family and spending time with them.

He leaves behind his loving children, David, Adam and Trisha Rafferty; beloved grandchildren, Kiera, Kayla and Alexis Cromer; and his siblings, Edwin Francis, Agatha Taylor, Margaret Klee and William Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Geraldine, and siblings, Neatha Flo and Dale.

Friends may call from 4 until 9 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East in Indianapolis, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 5. Burial with military honors will follow in Fountaintown Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Norman’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
