The Indiana History Train, “Faces of the Civil War,” parked near Bartholomew County Fairgrounds for a two-day stay.

The garden area of Mill Race Park was included in a documentary prepared by John Clifford for the National Council of State Garden Clubs, after the local park development project won first place in the state Sears, Roebuck and Co. civic development contest and fourth place in the national Reader’s Digest “Showcase of Beauty” contest.
