Sound of North marching band took top honors and won the Grand Master’s trophy at the Fiesta Bowl National Band Championship at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

United Way of Bartholomew County announced allocations of $1,279,320 for 1992, ranging from a high of $384,715 for Girls Club/Boys Club/Foundation For Youth, to $17,395 for Bartholomew County Easter Seals.

1966

Mayor Eret Kline announced his plan for the city for 1967, including construction of an incinerator, widening of 10th Street from Gladstone Avenue to McClure Road, extending utility services to annexed areas and the purchase of an additional bus.
