The U.S. Department of Defense confirmed the remains of a Columbus sailor, Ensign Robert Langwell, lost at sea in 1950 during the Korean War, were recovered and would be returned to his family for burial in Arlington National Cemetery.

Columbus officials emphasized that despite funding troubles at the federal level, the Front Door Project, leading from Interstate 65 along Jonathan Moore Pike into downtown, was moving forward as scheduled, with construction set to begin in late July.
