BROWN COUNTY
Susan K. Carter, age 65, of Brown County, Indiana passed away at Columbus Regional Hospital on Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born in New Palestine, Indiana on February 12, 1957 to Kenneth and Lorraine “Ponnie” (Olive) Rasener. Susan worked at ABC School and Brown County Schools, and was a nanny to twins and triplets. She loved being a nanny and taking care of children. Susan enjoyed flowers, collecting dolls, ceramics, and other arts and crafts.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Dale Carter, children, Jason Carter (fiance, Jennifer Unsworth), Josh Downes (Bridget), and Jacqueline Carter (Shawn Mulherin), grandchildren, Colton Bartley Carter and Cooper Bartley Carter, Klarisa, Carmella, Dawson, Hudson, and Sydney, great-grandchild, Sabrina, and brother, Scott Rasener.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Terri Quackenbush.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at The Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington. Roy Hendershot will officiate.
