VERNON
Thomas Joseph Gosman, 79, of Vernon, passed away at 2:09 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Michael Bean will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the funeral home.
Born on April 20, 1943, in Butlerville, Thomas was the loving son of Alfred and Edrina (Andrew) Gosman. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Beth” Heilman on January 15, 1971. She preceded him in death on August 1, 2021.
Thomas better known as Tom to all who loved him, was a member of the Vernon Presbyterian Church and served on the session, Building and grounds committees. He was a member of the Rotary Club. Tom had worked at the Stone Quarry in North Vernon and Ashland Oil before starting Gosman Construction in 1972 until now.
Survivors include sons, Billy (Pam) Gosman, and Andrew Ray (April Shelton) Gosman; daughter, Teresa Sinkes of North Vernon; grandchildren, Ava, Adrina, Alyssa, Derek, Karalee Gosman, Jared Sinkes, and Michelle Hadley; great grandchildren, Grace and Madie Hadley.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edrina Gosman; wife, Beth Gosman; brothers, Carl, Paul, Eddie, and Robert Gosman; sisters, Opal Beach, Minnie Doud, and Betty Hert.
