Thomas William Bowen Of Englewood, Florida, formerly of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away on March 12, 2023. He was born at home on November 16, 1934, in North Vernon, Indiana to Curtis and Gertrude Bowen.
He was a 1953 graduate of North Vernon High School. Thomas worked and retired from Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany, where he met the love of his life his wife, Sigrid. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends and all types of music, especially bagpipes.
Thomas is predeceased by his parents, Curtis and Gertrude Bowen, siblings Robert L. Bowen, Jane Graham and Helen Holmes and a son Thomas William Bowen, II and son-in-law F. Leo Speck.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sigrid G. Bowen, children, Belinda Bowen Speck and Roger A. Bowen (Chris Petrilli), granddaughter Caitlin N. Speck and sister Teresa Genda(Jerry).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 12th, at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224
