Duncan cards 71, but misses cut at Valspar

PALM HARBOR, Fla. — Tyler Duncan carded an even-par 71 in Friday’s second round and missed the cut at the Valspar Championship.

The Columbus North graduate had opened with a 3-over 74 on Thursday and finished at 3-over 145 for 36 holes. The cut line was at even-par 142 with a few players still on the course when play was suspended because of darkness.

Kevin Streelman, Chandler Phillips, Stewart Cink, Brendon Todd and Mackenzie Hughes are tied for the lead at 6-under 136. Nine others are one shot back at 5-under.
