The Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) seized more than 100 combined grams of cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl Thursday resulting in two arrests.
JNET had been looking into Christopher Riddle, 46 of 603 California Street Apt. 5, Columbus, for allegedly dealing drugs from his apartment in the 600 block of California Street, according to Sgt. Skylar Berry, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Riddle was on parole with the Indiana Department of Corrections (DOC), sentenced to DOC for unlawful firearm possession by a serious felon, a Level 4 felony, and dealing in cocaine or a narcotics drugs, a Level 2 felony, in 2023 according to the Indiana DOC website.
On Thursday, investigators from JNET and the Columbus Police Department Intelligence Led Policing Unit searched Riddle’s home with the assistance of parole officers and a search warrant. During the search, officers located about 33 grams of cocaine, 40 grams of methamphetamine, 29 grams of fentanyl, 5 grams of K2 spice, and drug paraphernalia, Berry said.
Christopher Riddle was arrested on the preliminary charges of:
- Dealing cocaine, a Level 2 felony
- Dealing methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony
- Dealing a narcotic drug, a Level 2 felony
- Maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony
- Possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony
- Possession of a controlled substance, a Level 6 felony
- Possession of paraphernalia, a misdemeanor
Christopher’s wife, Jami Riddle, 52, of 603 California Street Apt. 5, Columbus, was also arrested on the preliminary charges of:
- Maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony
- Possession of cocaine, a Level 6 felony
- Possession of paraphernalia, a misdemeanor
Both remain incarcerated at the Bartholomew County Jail with no bond.
