AVONDALE, La. — Tyler Duncan and Adam Schenk carded an even-par 72 in Friday’s second round and are tied for 29th at the midway point of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Gunnar Setser of Columbus set the fast time in his qualifying group and raced from fourth to third in his heat race to earn the pole for the feature on April 16 at the U.S. 24 Speedway in Logansport. Then in the main event, he led from start to finish to pick up his first win of the year in the A-class winged micros.

COMING UP

Columbus East held its own in the sprints and hurdles Thursday, but Columbus North was dominant in the distance events.

Jennings County tied the score against Columbus North in the top of the seventh inning of Thursday’s baseball game.
